Please, anyone, help.....i have just added Barney to be a friend to my 5yr Susa (female) and all of a sudden he is peeing on the br rugs (which i have removed and threw out ). He gets plenty of lovin and play time.
I have never had this problem before. can anyone give me some insight as what to do.
I don't have a clue. I have checked in other rooms and it only seems to be happening in the br.
Anything....anyone????

Could he have a UTI? If THAT is the problem, it's reasonably easy to determine and cure.
It sounds like a territorial thing. Unfortunately, I don't know what to offer as a cure.

Tue, December 4, 2007 - 9:28 PMIt's possible about the UTI but also, is Susa standing outside the kittybox while he's trying to use it? Do you have two or three boxes? Sometimes cats get massive anxiety when trying to do their business and when there is another cat lurking around outside, it causes more problems.

Mon, December 10, 2007 - 7:42 AMi believe that the litter box was the problem. there are 2 and they both use them, my bad i was late in cleaning them.....and now i am aware that all they do is eat and poop and pee :>) a lot .
they sure let you know when you've not done your job. all is good now.

Mon, December 10, 2007 - 10:03 AMGlad to hear the problem has been solved. Wouldn't it be great if they made a litter box that not only scooped itself, but would change it's litter when needed and carry the old litter down to the dumpster? -
